Legality in different countries
Legally Valid
G-Sign comes under Electronic Signature, and complies with ESIGN Act. We write up a contract with the organization to adhere to the minimal authentication and authorization required to provide the end user the electronic signature and file flow service.
Legally Valid (Enforceable)
Under the IT (Amendment) Act of 2008, the strict definition of a digital signature has been relaxed to include electronic signatures. This means that, according to contract law, a contract is valid once two parties agree to its essential terms, and it can be in any form, including electronic form.
However, it is important to note that G-Sign cannot be used for certain purposes including:
1) Filing taxes or government forms where CA-based digital signature is mandated
2) Signing legal documents such as land documents, property documents, etc.
3) Signing documents such as passports, driving licenses, etc.
